He's Talking!

And singing a tune too... As you all know Charlie loves music, and music truly heals the soul - and the head in this case! There have been many ups and downs but yesterday had a lot of ups and his personality is emerging more and more each day. What a relief it was for him to get his helmet, and a cool black one at that! This will provide him with some freedom to move, but given the severe circumstances, he won't be free to roam on his own, for now.

Where it started

I know many of you are aware that Charlie had a Craniotomy done back on Nov 19. His symptoms started with hearing loss, and over time, we learned he had to have this procedure done or else over time his brain would "leak" out of his skull. Things went well, or so we thought. He was able to go home on Saturday, the 22nd. Things were good, he was happy – eating and feeling good in his recliner. BUT – Sunday morning, he was a different person.
