Treatment Begins?

Since the treatment is closer to Atlanta - Dottie and Gary got a hotel room for 2 nights to get this first treatment done.

Our girl was all set and ready to go last week - it was scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, last minute, the morning of, she was told they didn't have all the information needed to get the "cocktail" right for her chemo, so they postponed it until next Monday, the 18th and 19th.

Some of you know her 85th birthday is on the 19th! That's some happy birthday stuff - huh?!?!

Nikki has been here for a week and was due to depart the day after the last dose, but since it was postponed, she found a way to stay through next Wednesday - YAY for Nikki! So glad she is here. She has been helping cook and get things ready for the Chemo - eating right is a huge component of getting great results from this treatment.

Myself or Nikki will be updating here as regularly as possible - we will try to keep everyone in the loop as best we can.
